I do basic standard Wills and specialise in estate planning.
Estate planning goes beyond the standard Will and is about (i) finding a way to pass on your assets to the next generation most effectively by lowering Inheritance tax and (ii) protecting your wealth from threats such as Divorce Settlement, Long Term Care fees, Creditors and Bankruptcy, Generational IHT and Marriage after Death in the hands of the beneficiaries.
Probate: I help clients with probate. A grant of probate is a legal document that’s sometimes needed to access bank accounts, sell assets and settle debts after someone has died. Our service includes getting the grant of probate, but also dealing with the legal, tax (excluding VAT), property and estate administration affairs.
I am a STEP Affiliate and follow all their guidelines. As a banker and ex-partner in solicitor firm, I aim to bring in all the banking expertise along with the high standards expected of these both professions into this industry.
