As we approach the end of the year, I am honoured to reflect on the incredible journey that we’ve shared over the last 12 months. Amongst the backdrop of global challenges, BEST have worked to continue to offer our members more as part of their membership and to drive change in our industry.
We have seen the launch of some very exciting partnerships that have added to the value that our members gain from working with us. Our partnership with Cater Allen offers members easy access to executor and trust accounts for their clients, Insuristic offers a range of digital Estate Administration Insurance options and Benefits Cloud offers something different with a range of retail discounts. We also recently announced our partnership with Remember A Charity, to help raise awareness of gifts to charities in Wills.
We of course, can’t forget that this this year saw our first ever conference; an event that we’ll always remember. We were able to deliver an event like no other in the industry, that stood out in its offering of innovative and inspiring content. We are currently in the midst of planning our 2024 conference which we are confident will carry on the standard that we set for ourselves this year. For those that missed the announcement, the event will take place on 14th May 2024. Keep a look out for more exciting announcements about this coming up in the new year.
It would be impossible to look back on this year without mentioning on the CMA’s announcement of their investigation into will writing and other unregulated services. This announcement has seen many workers in our industry reflect on their own practices and what changes they would welcome in the future. We were proud to be a part of the CMA’s initial consultations and look forward to further communications in the future to help to shape the end result.
With your continued support, I am confident that 2024 will allow us to build upon our achievements and continue to make a lasting impact in our industry. May the coming year bring us together to overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and contribute to a brighter future.
